Mentoring and Education
Part of being a great leader is growing those around you. Through my career I have invested in growing both the people around me, as well as the community. From one-to-one mentoring to creating content and teaching at schools such as General Assembly, I’ve tried to give back to the community that has provided so much.
After attending a General Assembly class, I was offered the opportunity to teach their newly established Visual Design class. In doing this, I collaborated with the course leads to create the curriculum and developed supporting material, including tool-based workshops, to shape the future class structure.
The gallery above showcases a glimpse of one such workshop, which I wrote and taught for over a year, focused specifically on Adobe Illustrator. This course has been incorporated in part to provide additional tooling to complement primary courses and has been adopted by the Symplicit Learning Academy. Even today, it remains a tool for one-on-one training.
